Biman Bangladesh Airlines has suspended flights from Dhaka to Dammam on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and all Dhaka-Riyadh flights until October 31, citing passenger safety amid the ongoing security situation in Saudi Arabia.
The airline’s public relations department confirmed the decisions on Thursday night, noting that further decisions regarding the suspended flights and revised schedules will be announced in due course.
Meanwhile, flights from Dhaka to Jeddah and Medina will continue to operate according to their existing schedules.
Passengers travelling to Dammam and Riyadh may use Jeddah and Medina international airports to travel to Saudi Arabia or return to Bangladesh, subject to seat availability, the department said.
Passengers have been advised to contact their nearest Biman Bangladesh Airlines sales centre for ticketing and travel-related information.
Why it matters
