State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir hosted a breakfast meeting with H.E. Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC), at the State Guest House Padma in Dhaka on 5 November 2026.

The visit, part of Liu's three‑day trip to Bangladesh from 3 to 5 November, provided an opportunity for both sides to reaffirm the longstanding friendship between the two nations.

During the talks, Liu highlighted the role of the IDCPC in shaping China’s foreign policy and pledged to work relentlessly to strengthen bilateral relations.

The officials recalled the outcomes of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visit to China in June 2026 and expressed satisfaction with the progress made.

A key agenda item was Bangladesh’s request for continued Chinese support for the early repatriation of Rohingya refugees to Myanmar.

The meeting concluded with mutual agreement to deepen cooperation across the highlighted sectors, reinforcing the strategic partnership between Dhaka and Beijing.
