The visit was accompanied by State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir and Bangladesh’s ambassador to Algeria, underscoring the high-level nature of the talks.

The two sides discussed a wide range of issues, including trade, investment, agriculture, fertilizers, education, science, technology, sports and culture, aiming to deepen bilateral relations for mutual benefit.

Minister Mahmood highlighted the importance of energy cooperation, urging Algeria to share knowledge and training programmes for Bangladeshi engineers and experts in the energy sector.

The MOU also envisions the exchange of best practices for developing LNG infrastructure and supports Bangladesh’s efforts to explore its coal and gas fields.

Prime Minister Ghrieb affirmed Algeria’s commitment to enhancing bilateral ties, noting ample scope for complementary trade and investment between the two brotherly nations.

Both parties agreed to arrange high‑level visits in the future to consolidate the growing partnership, signalling a strategic step for Bangladesh’s energy diversification and Algeria’s outreach in South Asia.
