Bangladesh’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday issued a strong condemnation of the recent Houthi attacks in Saudi Arabia, including the strike on Dammam airport that injured two Bangladeshi nationals.

The ministry’s statement said the attacks caused casualties and injuries involving two Bangladeshis and expressed heartfelt sympathies to the affected families.

It also reaffirmed Bangladesh’s solidarity with the Saudi government and people, calling for an immediate cessation of all attacks and a peaceful resolution through diplomatic channels.

The condemnation comes as Bangladesh maintains close diplomatic and economic ties with Saudi Arabia, a key partner for its overseas workforce and development cooperation.

Bangladesh’s foreign ministry urged the international community to uphold the safety of civilians and to support efforts aimed at stabilising the region.

The statement was released as part of a broader effort by Dhaka to protect its citizens abroad and to reinforce its commitment to multilateral peace initiatives.
